‘The good news is that one of our props, Martin Jones, did not suffer concussion when he received a bang on the head in the match,’ he said. ‘So Martin is OK to take a full part in training this week,’ he said, speaking on the official Cardiff Blues website.

‘The picture regarding Nathan Budgett is less clear. He has suffered an injury in the region of his neck and we are awaiting a further medical examination. We should know by the middle of the week the extent of the injury and when he will be fit again. Hopefully, it will be sooner rather than later.’

The Blues were beaten by Worcester 10-12 in a tight match, now minds are focused on the away game against Leicester Tigers on Saturday week, 28 August, which will also be a benefit match for Tigers’ inetrnational hooker, Dorian West.
