Movement is important for our mental health, so this Mental Health Awareness Week we encourage people to find moments for movement in their daily routines. Going for a walk, putting on your favourite music and dancing around the living room, or chair exercises when you’re watching television – it all counts!

Our community rugby clubs play a vital role, providing regular physical activity opportunities to all participants, enhancing wellbeing, and improving mental alertness.

The WRU are committed to putting welfare at the heart of our game. Our aim is to provide education, guidance, and the tools to help you live a healthier and happier life! Talking about your worries and problems can make things easier. The WRU has developed a Wellbeing Centre as a resource to provide clubs and players with education, guidance, and tools to assist with wellbeing matters.

SPEAK TO SOMEONE IF YOU’RE NOT OKAY!

Geraint John, WRU Community Director says, ‘So many of our clubs have actively embraced supporting mental health initiatives and are working to improve the mental wellbeing of their players and volunteers, to help create safe and positive rugby environments.’

What is Mental Health Awareness Week?
