The pair have racked up 388 games between them, with the 32-year-old Stuckey being one of the most prolific try scorers, as well as a useful, occasional goalkicker, in the Indigo Premiership.

He joined the Sardis Road outfit in 2014 from Ynysybwl and was Ponty’s ‘Player of the Year’ in 2018. Raikes, who is 30 in July, progressed through the Pontypridd Mini & Junior ranks before winning Wales Youth U18 honours from Ynysybwl.

He was part of the Cardiff Blues age grade system and Academy before linking up with the Pontypridd senior squad at the start of the 2012-13 season and gaining a senior contractr in the summer of 2014

The first two Testimonial Events will be a golf day on Saturday 3 August, followed by an evening with three Ponty legends, Dale McIntosh, Martyn Williams and Neil Jenkins on Friday 27 September 2024

Meanwhile, the Pointy management have announced that 12 players are leaving the club, which will be playing in the top tier of the community game next season, the Premiership, after opting out of bidding for a licence to play in the new Super Rygbi Cymru tournament.

“As the Pontypridd RFC coaching and management team continue working hard behind the scenes to reshape the squad for our 2024-25 Welsh Premiership campaign, we can confirm a number of players will be departing the club,” the club announced on their website.

The players leaving include Canadian international back row man Sion Parry, former Cardiff Rugby centre Ryan Wilkins, ex-Wales U20 outside halves Josh Phillips and Ben Burnell, former Cardiff Met skipper and No 8 Aled Ward along with Tom Harper, Tom Devine, Joe Scrivens, Harvey Nash, James Murphy, Liam Lloyd and McCauley Rowley.

“The club has retained the services of a large section of the squad, and remain in negotiations with other players,” the statement added.
