Llandovery have picked up the maximum 10 points from their two wins to date over Cardiff & Vale College (32-19) and Coleg Llandrillo (43-15) and now face a tricky first away trip. Whitchurch HS have already beaten Coleg Llandrillo 46-10 at home and Gower College on the road (20-17).

The only other unbeaten teams are last season’s runners-up Ysgol Glantaf and Coleg Sir Gar. They both meet at Sir Gar in Round 3.

Llandovery have scored 11 tries to date with livewire hooker Owen Griffiths getting on the scoresheet in both games. Walea U18 outside half Carwyn Leggat-Jones has also been in fine form and has notched 16 points in two rounds.

Whitchurch picked up two yellow cards in their win at Gower College and will need to be at their best in every department to hang onto their long-standing ground record. Tries from Harry Turner, Jack Jones and Hugo Sorrenson-Brown got them over the line last week.

Glantaf missed out on a try bonus-point last week but have now seen off two of their regional rivals, Colge y Cymoedd and Cardiff & Vale College. The two former champions have yet to post a win between them.

Cymoedd head north to face Coleg Llandrillo in another tough test in Round 3, while Dai Young’s CAVC side welcome Gower College.
