Last week was a double-whammy for him with Cardiff beating Bridgend in the SRC ahead of Cardiff Rugby hitting back to beat Ulster 21-19 with a thrilling second half performance at the Arms Park.
Viv shot both games and pulled off a scoop by capturing two amazing from home wingmen by sitting in exactly the same position.
First it was Dewi Cross launching himself into the Westgate Street end corner to touchdown. Where he led, Iwan Stephens then followed in equally dramatic fashion to set up a wonderful fightback from his side after they changed ends 19 points adrift.
“I think it was just one of those lucky days, a case of being in the right place at the right time – twice!” said Jones.
“I’ve been taking pictures at Cardiff since around 2011 and it’s great to be a part of the matchday experience. Dewi Cross has scored many tries in his time at the club, while Iwan Stephens has only just joined the regional side.
“I decided to stay in the same spot on Cardiff attack and just clicked away as they came towards me. Both pictures came out well, but I still think the one I got of Joe Goodchild scoring in the WRU Premiership Cup final at Principality Stadium when they beat Newport was even better.”
