LOUISE AND RHIAN EYE THE SPRINGBOKS

After impressing in the Development squad, Louise comes into the Wales side in the absence of veteran Claire Donovan (shoulder), while Rhian Bowden steps up from her position as U19 captain.

Both girls will be eyeing their first caps in the grudge encounter. The sides last met in South Africa, where Wales defeated the Boks in both tests of their historic tour in 2004, to become the first Wales side to win a test series on South African soil. The rest of the line-up remains largely unchanged from the one that was narrowly defeated by Ireland in the finale of the Six Nations. Rachel Brown partners Ayla Rose in the boilerhouse, while Manon Williams takes the left wing.

After a disappointing Six Nations campaign and resultingly not automatically qualifying for the 2006 Rugby World Cup, Wales will be determined to post a convincing win to assert their case for taking the final IRB invitation place in Edmonton next Autumn.
