Cardiff Blues Scrum Half Richie Rees won his first cap for Wales at Twickenham on Saturday February the 6th when England ran in winners by 30 points to 17.

After the match he was presented with his cap by WRU President Dennis Gethin at a reception attended by both teams and hundreds of guests from the world of rugby.

The moment which marks a cherished memory for so many players was captured on camera exclusively for WRU website viewers.

It was a true highlight in a day when the pain of defeat for the Welsh team was tempered by the knowledge there are four more international match opportunities to turn this RBS 6 Nations tournament into a success.

The team were joined in London by thousands of Welsh fans who displayed all the usual passion for the tournament and left the ground knowing that Wales have it within their power to come back fighting from the Twickenham experience.

More than 80,000 fans packed into a sell out Twickenham for the match which celebrated 100 years of rugby internationals at a ground which has become famous around the world as the home of England rugby.

On Saturday Wales face Scotland at the Millennium Stadium in their first home international of this year’s tournament.
