Hugh Gustafson describes getting the phone call from Wales Women head coach Rowland Phillips asking him to join his coaching team.

The former Wales U20, Ospreys and Dragons hooker was earlier confirmed as being part of the women’s international set-up alongside Gareth Wyatt.

Phillips said of Gustafson’s appointment: “Hugh has shown a lot of promise already, making a smooth transition from playing to coaching via the Principality Premiership, BUCS and Regional Age Grade pathways, so it’s an exciting move for him.”
