Lostprophets tuck in with Wales team
Welsh rockers Lostprophets took time out of rehearsals today to have lunch with Warren Gatland’s Wales – ahead of their exclusive Millennium Stadium performance at the Principality Building Society Summer Test on Saturday 5 June (KO 2.30pm).
The Welsh rock band will perform to a packed out Millennium Stadium when Wales take on rugby’s reigning world champions, South Africa, and compete for the Prince William Cup.
At the Wales team headquarters in the Vale of Glamorgan hotel this afternoon, band members Ian Watkins (vocals), Jamie Oliver (keyboards, turntables, vocals), Stuart Richardson (bass), Mike Lewis (guitars), Lee Gaze (guitars) and Luke Johnson (drums) joined Warren Gatland’s squad before the big event.
From their new album ‘The Betrayed’ that entered the charts at No 3 in January and fuses over a decade of experience since the band first formed in Pontypridd in 1997, the popular rock sextet will perform “Where We Belong” on special request from the Wales team as well as two other crowd-pleasing numbers.
Tickets for the Principality Building Society Summer Test, which includes an exclusive performance from the Lostprophets, are on sale from £25 via the WRU official website – www.wru.co.uk/tickets
