The Principality Premiership has often been described as the jewel in Welsh rugby’s crown with the clubs, who represent the history and tradition of Welsh rugby now at the forefront of producing our future professional rugby players.

The Welsh Rugby Union is constantly working with the Premiership clubs to jointly raise the standards of the league both on and off the pitch and the Premiership audit process is a key component of that work.

As part of that process, the clubs are now assessed on their medical facilities and support, levels of fitness and coaching and their use of the analysis support provided by the Union.

To help clubs reached the required standards in those areas, the WRU has produced a Principality Premiership Manual and recently held a training day for the coaching, medical and administrative staff of the clubs.

WRU TV went along to find out more.
