Skillscymru is being held at the Millennium Stadium. Gemma James spoke to Lesley Griffiths, Deputy Minister for Science, Innovation and Skills.

She opened skillscymru, the largest ever interactive careers and skills event to be held in Wales. Skillscymru is part of a major push by the Welsh Assembly Government to aid Wales’ recovery from the global economic downturn by preparing the population for a new higher-skilled era. It take splace from September 16-18, 2010, at the Millennium Stadium, is aimed at helping people across Wales of all ages from 14 upwards to learn about career and training opportunities to help learners and businesses to over come the challenges of the recession. The event features 100 exhibitors including employers, colleges and training providers. Over 20,000 visitors are expected over the three days.
