Road to Principality 2022: U15 National Plate final
The U15s Girls took to the field for the National plate final with Merched Mynydd Mawr facing the Chargers.

Merched Mynydd Mawr fought back to secure the ball in their own half. A beautifully timed pick up from Celyn Morgan left her free to run the length of the field to score under the sticks. Chloe Wilkins converting to put the score at 7-10 half time.
Chargers were first out of the blocks in the second half working their way over the gain line to push their opponents back.
Piercing their way through the defence, Kacey Lorkot broke loose to score to extend the Chargers lead.
Merched Mynydd Mawr had the chance to go ahead after a yellow card for a high tackle left Charges down to 14. A huge run out wide from the Tumble side almost looked the making of a try only for the Chargers to turn the ball over and race out of their half.
Full steam ahead and an emphatic run from the side took play into the 22, quick ball out wide put Lucy Grenfell in for the try.
But Merched Mynydd Mawr did well to answer back and power back up field. A huge break from Celyn Morgan sent her over the whitewash for her second try to narrow the lead to 14-20 with Wilkins converting.
Both battles hard until the end but it was the Chargers who dug in deep to pull out the victory and lift the National Plate trophy.
