Speedster Caryl James and prop Caryl Thomas are hoping to make up for lost time when taking on South Africa this afternoon in the Rugby Women’s World Cup being held in Guildford (KO midday).

Both players are competing for places in extremely competive positions with James contesting the wing berth with Mared Evans and Elen Evans while Thomas has had to bide her time behind Jennifer Davies in the front row.

Davies was suspended after Friday’s match against Australia and now Thomas is keen to make her mark to ensure the selectors have plenty of headaches when the front rower becomes available for selection again later in the tournament.
