All Change For Scarlets

All Change For Scarlets

Llanelli keep four players from the side that beat Leicester Tigers in the
Heineken Cup last weekend for their top-of-the-table Welsh/Scottish clash at Newport tonight (Kick-off 7.05pm).
Wayne Proctor, Neil Boobyer, Garan Evans and Martyn Madden survive, but
Coach Gareth Jenkins has made eleven changes to the side and brought in two players promoted from the club’s U21 squad for their first starts of
the season.
Scarlets Under 21 captain and No8 Aled Gravell and talented centre Tal Selley, who was promoted to the first team squad at the beginning of the
season, both add new blood to the Llanelli line-up.
Jenkins is resting his international players with one eye on the Scarlet’s
Heineken Cup quarter final tie against Bath next week.
“Some of the unsung heroes of the club are getting a chance to shine this
evening,” said Jenkins.
“But we have assembled a good squad of players at Stradey Park this season and this is a game we want to win.
“Of course we have one eye on the Bath game next week, but we are in the
business of winning rugby games at Llanelli and we want to maintain that
momentum.”
