Dennis John Leaves Brewery Field

The Ravens have appointed former British Lion Richard Webster and Huw Bevan as temporary coaches in the wake of Dennis John’s shock resignation…
Dennis John has a distinguished coaching record. He has been Wales A Coach, and was Wales caretaker boss before the arrival of Graham Henry. He was the Bridgend coach for two and half seasons but poor results in all competitions this year have ultimately led to his departure by ‘mutual consent’
Bridgend chairman Derrick King said “Dennis has worked extremely hard securing our Premiership status in his first season and consolidating our position in his second when we secured a Heineken Cup spot. Results have not gone as expected this season and therefore both the club and Dennis feel we have gone as far as possible. ‘

Ex British Lion Richard Webster and Bridgend fitness coach Huw Bevan have taken dual responsibility of the coaching duties in an attempt to reverse the fortunes of the Mid Glamorgan club.
Webster said “Myself and Huw are running things now. Its not a case of head coach and assistant coach or anything, but the job’s too big for one person. If you look at other clubs around they have four or five coaches. We were always planning to strengthen the staff, but we will see how this goes to see if we need to recruit.”
Their first test will come when they travel to Neath on Saturday for their Welsh/Scottish League match.
