Its ‘do Or Die’ For Newport

Newport coach Ian McIntosh insists that his Black and Ambers are drinking in the last chance saloon as they prepare for Friday’s “do or die” Welsh Scottish League game with Cardiff (kick off 7.05).
McIntosh has watched in disappointment horror as the once title favourites have ground to a shuddering halt with successive defeats against Neath and Swansea.
The dip in form has seen them knocked from their perch at the top of the Welsh Scottish league, leaving their title ambitions hanging by a thread. Now, he says they have no choice but to overcome Cardiff if they are to clinch their first ever Championship.
“We have to win this game if we are to have any chance of lifting the title. It’s a real case of do or die,” said McIntosh.
Newport will be without Wales centre Andy Marinos who has a broken finger
whilst Shane Howarth is battling to be fit too.Hal Luscombe gets a chance in the centre alongside Jonathan Pritchard with McIntosh admitting: “He deserves his chance.”
