Wales Appoint New Conditioning Coach

Andrew Hore has been appointed as the new Welsh Rugby Union National Fitness and Conditioning Coach.
The 30 year old University of Otago graduate will commence his duties at the
end of June.
A resident of Christchurch, New Zealand he has for the past 2 years been strength and conditioning Coach to Canterbury Rugby NPC and the Canterbury
Crusaders, teams synonymous with success.
National Team Coach Steve Hansen said ” I am delighted that Andrew has been appointed. He was in a very competitive field and I was very impressed with the calibre of applicants who put their names forward. I have worked with him for five years and understand well the qualities he can bring to our Management Team. I am confident that he has both the Technical and man Management Skills necessary to raise our standards and assist us in achieving our goals”
Hore was equally enthusiastic, ” I am very happy to have been offered this
role, and am looking forward to getting stuck into it and achieving some positive results. I have been pretty well briefed on where people are in terms of fitness at the moment and it’s the challenge of improving on that which really excites me”.
