Bridgend’s New Deal
Bridgend today claimed the first major commercial coup of the new club season when they announced a two-year, six-figure sponsorship deal.
Bridgend company JVH Group will back Gareth Thomas’s team in the new season, Bridgend having made 15 close-season signings, including Wales lock Andrew Moore and All Black fly half Simon Mannix.
“We are very satisfied with this deal, which will run for two years and involve a six-figure sum,” said Bridgend owner Leighton Samuel.
“We have got a strong squad and the infra-structure in place and I just
hope we now get better support on the terraces.”
Allan Lewis, another relative newcomer, as senior coach, said: “We have
reinforced the squad and now have greater strength in it.
“When you invest so much on the playing side then there are large expectations but with the team we now have I am sure we will be competitive.”
