Warnarlywdd, Morriston, Llandaff North and Pontyclun all took part in the competition at the Windsor Fields, Pontyclun RFC. Warnarlywdd and Morriston are both new to the senior league and the tournament gave them a chance to prepare for the forthcoming season.

The final was between the winners of last season’s league, Llandaff North and the hosts Pontyclun. Jess Kidley put Llandaff North in front with a lovely break through the hosts defence but Pontyclun soon levelled the score with a try by Nicola Batt. It was a close game with the half time score 17-10 to Llandaff North. Some superb tackling by the Llandaff North front row denied Eleanor Purnell to narrow the gap and with another try from Kidley and Fly half Paula Mullen Llandaff North extended their lead to 27-10. Pontyclun kept fighting and in the dying seconds Gemma Legge went over the line. Jess Vousden converted the try bringing the final score to 27-17.
