i Can’t Wait For The Test – Tait

John Tait says Canada owes Wales for teaching their top players the finer points of rugby – and they’re going to pay the Principality back by beating them at the Millennium Stadium!

The Cardiff lock says the experience he’s gained in the Welsh capital, along with fellow Cardiff man Dan Baugh and Newport’s Rod Snow, would benefit the development of the game ‘back home’.

And, despite six seasons in Cardiff and signing for two more, Tait still calls Canada home.

‘Cardiff’s great, but it’s not home,’ Tait admitted. ‘After the next two seasons, I’ll be ready to go.’

Tait, wife Tiffiny and daughter Madison are already making plans to return to Canada, but not before the rangy lock tidies up some loose ends.

‘I can’t wait for the Test,’ he said.

‘We obviously know the players and the Canadian guys playing in Wales have learnt a thing or two over the years. We went close to Wales in Canada a few years ago and we’re keen to go one better.

‘We’re a good defensive side and we match up pretty well in the forwards, so it’ll be up to the backs to get the advantage.

‘It’s going to be a massive game at the Millennium Stadium.

‘And it will be good to have the home fans in Cardiff on my side,’ he said, with a grin.
