The Quinnell dynasty will make its seventh offering to Welsh Rugby at Llanelli – when Gavin Quinnell features in the
Scarlets’ friendly with Bridgend.

Scott and Craig’s younger brother is today named in his debut first Team squad and the Wales U21 trialist will follow uncles Clive, Alan and Barry John, father Derek and his brothers in taking his first steps in senior rugby at Stradey Park.

With nine first team players on national duty as Wales prepare to take on Canada at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday, Jamie Cudmore with theCanucks and Wayne Proctor and Matthew J Watkins with the Barbarians, it is a chance for the young guns at Llanelli to make there mark.

Ian Boobyer Captains the side, with Leigh Davies absent through injury. Tal Selley makes his first start of the season in his preferred position of outside centre and Wales U21 star Mike Phillips plays at scrum half. American John Tarpoff, on loan from Llandovery, features at hooker, whilst Wales 7’s star Gareth Williams starts at No8.

The bench is serviced by Llanelli’s U21 squad, with the exception of Justin Hughes who joins the squad on loan fromCarmarthen Quins.
Kick off is 7.00pm, entry is FREE to season ticket holders, £5 for adults and £2 for children and concessions.
