Swansea’s ace goal-kicker Gavin Henson repayed Wales Under-21 coach Chris Davey’s faith by nailing seven penalty goals to help Wales secure the Under 21 Six Nations Grand Slam, a with a five-point victory at the Stade des Costieres, Nimes.

Davey had ealrier in the week described Henson as his “No.1 goal kicker”, and after the victory Davey said.

“It was a terrific game of rugby between two quality sides.

“Both tried to play with ball in hand and the second-half performance from the boys was tremendous.

“Character is a huge thing and they have gritted it out in a tough tournament.”
