Toulouse Keep The Pressure On

Defending Heineken Cup champions Toulouse travel to The Gnoll on Friday night looking to keep the pressure firmly on Pool 2 leaders Edinburgh Rugby with back-to-back wins over Neath-Swansea Ospreys.

The four-try 29-6 home win over the Ospreys was good enough to earn Toulouse their first try bonus point of the campaign – and star centre Yannick Jauzion said another bonus point is also a target.

“We are still chasing Edinburgh because they are dominating the Pool at the moment,” said Jauzion. “It was important to do what we did on Saturday, but we have to climb the table even further next week.

“The most important thing on Friday is to get another victory over the Ospreys and, if we can, we will look to get another four tries and a bonus point as we did last weekend.

“However, maybe this time the Ospreys will control the ball a little more.

“On Saturday it was difficult to see how their back line plays – but we saw how good their forwards are.

“Their scrum half Andy Williams is also a good player and we will have to watch him closely because he links well.”
