Only two matches took place and both resulted in away victories that went along with the form-book.
Carmarthen Atheltic rattled up a half-century of points at Tondu without reply and their No 8 Graham Evans touched the 100th of his league career with seven other tries also resulting.

Rumney had lock Chris Jones red-carded in the first half at Treorchy, but still ran out winners by 30-8, scoring five tries to one by the Zebras.

DIVISION TWO.

Pencoed lamost pulled off a surprise win in their match at Broadacre against the West leaders Dunvant, but though both sides scored two tries, Dunvant converted their efforts for a 14-10 victory. Cardigan gained a narrow 11-8 home win over Vardre and Waunarlwydd jumped over cup-tied Felinfoel after Cwmavon almost pulled of a surprise in a 30-29 scoreline.

Fleur de Lys still are only fourth in the East, yet have lost only once in a stop-start season. This time they raced away from Risca in the second half to win 36-3.

Dinas Powys have improved tremendously since meeting Pontypridd in the Cup and gave Hirwaun a difficult match before succumbing by 22-13 while Llantwit Fardre showed that they too have improved and battered Croesyceiliog 49-0 and Llantrisant could be pleased with their trip to Ystrad Rhondda and the win by 19-12.
