DIVISION ONE.

Leaders Maesteg have a home match against bottom club Tondu, who have already conceded 1,213 points in 22 straight losses and the return match at Pandy Park is still to come.

It all means that Maesteg will have one eye on unbeaten opponents Llanharan, who have rearranged a match away to sixth-placed Carmarthen Athletic. Llanharan won the first meeting by 73 points in September, but this will be much closer.

Llanharan full back Marc Davies was denied the two points he needed to be the first man to 300 points this season, when replacement Jonathan Hooper, on loan from Caerphilly, drop-kicked the clonversion to his third try of a 96-point win over Tondu. Davies had already converted 12 of the 13 tries, but Hooper beat him to the ball.

There will be big interest in the matches between Narberth and Llangennech, the third and fifth-placed clubs, and the all-Cardiff match where Glamorgan Wanderers entertain the students of UWIC.

DIVISION TWO.

West leaders Tonmawr hope to stay in front after they visit Cwmavon and second-placed Dunvant cannot close the gap as their match against third-placed Corus is off ue to the latter’s cup commitments. However, Bridgend Athletic could draw level if they defeat Newcastle Emlyn and Tonmawr lose.

In the East, Merthyr are certainly going to stay in front as nearest rivals Builth Wells have no match, while the Ironmen are at home to a improving Ystrad Rhondda. Flue de Lys, in third, have an important match at Hirwaun.
