Division One – LLANHARAN Captain – Gareth Edwards Coach – Dennis John.

Llanharan had three matches to play to overhaul Maesteg, ANF at they end they topped the division by three points, beating Narberth, Rumney and Carmarthen Athletic in the final run-in. Full back Marc Davies was the only player in Wales to go over 400 points and ended on 471.

Division Two East – BUILTH WELLS Captain – Shaun Hughes. Coach – Bob Davies and Mark Jones.

Builth’s 103-0 win at Penygraig on May 11 gave them the title ahead of Fleur de Lys with one match still to play. Hooker Shaun Hughes was skipper for the second time and the backs coach was local boy Mark Jones, the Wales and Llanelli on the wing.

Division Two West – TONMAWR
Captain: Jamie Costain. Coach: Peter Tandy and Adrian Turnbull

Division Three East – BRYNITHEL Captain: Chris Wall. Coach: Lyndon Whitlock and Mark Rossiter.

Brynithel were the shock winners as they came from third place on the final day to snatch the title. They travelled to Abercarn behind Senghenydd and Newport Saracens, only for wing Gavin Hayes to score the try that gave them the title.

Division Three West – PONTYBEREM
Captain: Richard Hardy. Coach: Richard Hardy and Dorian Jones.

Pontyberem and Kidwelly gained wins that left them level on points, but Pontyberem were well ahead on tries and have Haverfordwest still to play.

Division Three South-East – TREHERBERT
Captain – Gareth Roberts. Coach – Neil Thomas and Alan Rees.

Division Three South-West – BANWEN
Captain – Leighton Thomas. Coach – Mark Harris and Steve Bayliss.

Banwen held off challenges to win from Mumbles, Maesteg Quins and Bryncoch. With two matches remaining, they had achieved 23 straight wins since an opening day loss.

Division Four East – BARGOED
Captain – Glen Seabourne. Coach – Stephen Barber and David Lynch.

Lloyds TSB Division Four West – LOUGHOR.
Captain – Jason Roberts. Coach – Mark Davies.

Loughor won the final match in the division at home to Pembroke Dock Quins by 47-10 in a match where whoever won would have taken the title. Full back Jason Roberts had his first season as captain and former club hooker Mark Davies was coach in his first season of retirement from playing.

Division Four South-East – PONTYCYMMER
Captain – Christiaan (CORRECT WITH TWO A’s) Jones. Coach – Kerry Townley.

Division Four South- West – PONTYCYMMER
Captain – Christiaan Jones. Coach – Kerry Townley.

An amazing turnaround in the last two matches saw Fairwater lose out, not only on the title, but also on promotion, as they lost at home to Pontycymmer by 16-10 and then, needing to beat Abercwmboi away to still gain the title, they fell 42-7. Pontycymmer were led by the former Dunvant and Llanharan prop Christiaan Jones and coached by former Llanelli hooker Kerry Townley.

Division Four North – RUTHIN
Captain – Jim Salisbury. Coach – Russell Jones.

Ruthin’s 6-0 away win against nearest rivals and last season’s champions, Nant Conwy, virtually settled it and a win against Newtown clinched it a week later.

Division Five East – TRINANT
Captain – David Morgan. Coach – Jonathan Way, Robert Rees and Gary Pitt.

Division Five West – CRYMYCH
Captain: Matthew Hill. Coach: Glyndwr Richards with assistants Robin Davies and Nigel Bevan.

Division Five South-East – LLANDAFF
Captain – Tony Healan. Coach – Billy Ridler and Tony Healan.

Division Five South-West – RESOLVEN. Captain – Leighton Probert. Coach – Geraint Ellis.

This was the club who came back to rugby after having missed the whole of the previous season. Luckily, the youth side had kept going and a mixture of those and players returning home, saw the title captured with the 21st game of 22, beating runners-up Aberavon Green Stars by 23-11 on May 6.
