The 3 Super League regions – East, West & North Wales – have held their respective trials and will all turn up this Friday with squads of 26 players fighting it out for a place in this season’s Welsh squad.

The first game kicks off this Friday evening at 7.30pm between East and West Wales. This game takes place at the Glamorgan University playing fields, Treforest.

With the North and West squads staying over at the Welsh Institute for Sport, many will experience their first taste of regional rugby.

The second and third games are both based at the Cardiff University Playing Fields, Llanrumney. Saturday’s game sees the North enter the fray taking on the West at 11am. On Saturday afternoon, all players then head to the Millennium Stadium to watch the Senior men’s International between Wales and South Africa.

The final game on Sunday is between North and East Wales at 11am. Following this game, the selectors will select a squad for training in December.

This will then be cut to the 24 who will tour Vancouver Island in February playing two tests against Canada U19 before returning to play their English counterparts home and away in March.
