U19s draw with England

On a very cold day in Coventry, Wales U19’s played England U19’s. The rivalry between the two teams is always evident and the tackles from both sides throughout the game showed how much they meant business.

The first try was scored by the Welsh wing, Lowri Evans after constant lingering on the try line just before the half time whistle. Several fumbles and missed one-on-ones meant that the score stayed at 5-0 for most of the second half. England Openside Flanker, Katy Hall (Morpeth RFC) levelled the score with approximately 15 minutes to go which meant both teams had everything to play for.

The action was end to end with both teams missing try scoring opportunities. The final 5-5 score means that the battle is over for now but definitely not won. The two teams meet again at Birchgrove Rugby Club, Swansea on 20th March, kick off 2.30pm.
