DIVISION 1
While Maesteg and Glamorgan Wanderers have been promoted from Division One, the last relegation spot went to Carmarthen Athletic, who crashed 37-27 at already relegated Tonmawr. The gallant Athletic scored tries by Chris Harries (2), Aled Thomas, Mark Williams and Ifan Charles, but it was not enough as Tonmawr tries came from Rhyddian Jenkins, Rob Hill, Lee Mason and Andy Edwards, with the latter kicking 17 points.
Maesteg rounded their season off by crushing Narberth 63-7 with tries by Karl Hocking (3), Gareth John (2), Gareth Holmes (2), Alun Brown, Richard Morgan, Matt Jeffrey and Hywel Davies and Adrian Killa notched a late try for the Otters. Athony Corsi lead the way for the Glamorgan Wanderers 31-15 win at Builth Wells with a brace of tries, while Jamie Henthorn and Mike Grimes also crossed and Wayne Morris and Matthew Lewis notched the Builth touchdowns.
UWIC snatched a late 26-25 win at Blackwood with Rhys Edwards kicking 14 points after Blackwood had run in tries by Jamie Jones, Andrew Cope and Gavin Rees and Fleur de Lys stay up despite losing 47-18 at home to Beddau with home tries by Richard Evans and Matthew Davies against the Beddau efforts by Rhys Jenkins (2), Nathan Walters, Damian Adams, Glen Slater and a penalty try.
Llangennech fell 43-39 at home to relegated Bridgend Athletic and Whitland crashed 14-11 at home to Bonymaen as Aled Davies scored a try and Luke Marsh kicked two penalties, but Bonymaen scored tries by Paul Smith and Colin Jones that Paul Warlow converted.
DIVISION 2
Cwmllynfell and Waunarllwyd are locked together for the West title, but Abercynon’s amazing 92-31 won over Croesyceiliog and Ystrad Rhondda’s 41-24 loss at Merthyr throws the East back open with Abercynon still having to play the Ironmen.
The games that really mattered most were the relegation battles as Tredegar fell 26-21 at home to Brynithel in the East and Llantrisant defeated Hirwaun by 49-21 and in the West as Cwmavon gained a narrow win at Felinfoel and Nantymoel won again, this time at bottom club Tondu, but both Pencoed and Newcastle Emlyn lost.
DIVISION 3
Loughor may have won the West title, but they lost 21-18 at Gorseinon, who take runners-up spot with Penclawdd third after winning 22-12 at Lampeter
In the East, unbeaten Bargoed are joined by Pill Harriers in promotion after the Newport-based club ran in 13 tries in a 79-13 pounding of relegated Talywain. Old Illtydians, who won 65-10 over Abercarn, have just left their excellent run too late.
Rhydyfelin stayed unbeaten in the South-East with two games to play after a 47-20 win at Pentyrch and Mountain Ash clinched runners-up after shattering Tylorstown 73-17, while Ruthin remain third after a fine 17-8 win at Gilfach Goch.
In the South-West, champions Maesteg Quins fell by 25-19 at home to Seven Sisters, who may till lose runners-up to fast-finishing Bryncoch, who have two away games left, compared to one by Seven Sisters.
DIVISION 4
Pontllanfraith took the East title with a 29-0 win at Llanhilleth and runners-up Tredegar Ironsides go to a promotion play-off with North winners Llangefni at Newtown on May 14 after a 6-6 draw at Trinant.
Penarth lost their promotion chance in the South-East as they crashed 32-12 at Bedlinog and the North relegation battle became more confused after both Denbigh and Dolgellau were home winners over Rhyl ad Newown respectively.
The only game played in the West saw Crymych defeat Cefneithin 17-6 in an area won by Amman Utd.
DIVISION 5
In the West there was an amazing win for Swansea Uplands by 26-14 over champions Pembroke, but runners-up New Dock Stars were left kicking their heels as Llangwm did not raise a side. Llanybydder pulled off a shock 38-34 win at Bynea.
Porth kept their South-East promotion hopes alive by winning 110-15 over Blaengarw and await the Penallta-Cilfynydd match with interest.
Birchgrove are one win from the South-West title after defeating rivals Glyncorrwg 19-17, but Abercrave are still top, though Birchgrove now have to win at Baglan to snatch the crown.
Only two matches wesre played in the east with Bettws beating Caldicot and Blaenavon defeating Gwernyfed and in the North, Wrexham held off Machynlleth by 29-21.
