WALES U21 FACE ENGLAND IN FINAL MATCH

Club graphic

The two players missed the 43-25 revenge victory by pumped up Scotland over Grand Slam winners Wales earlier in the week and are among four changes from that side. Ricky Williams returns at full back in place of Jamie Roberts, while Rhys Shellard comes into the back row to take over from Chris Davies.

It has not been the best of tournaments for the Welsh side, who lost two key players – Chris Czekaj and Matthew Jones – to the Wales senior tour and have been ravaged by injuries.

After losing heavily to the defending champions New Zealand on the opening day they picked up a bonus point in their 24-8 win over Scotland in the Pool stages before going down 36-31 to Argentina. The 43-25 defeat against the Scots condemned them to a shoot-out with England for one of the minor placings.
