The Millennium Stadium, which recently hosted sell-out music events featuring U2 and REM and has just sold-out the ‘Noise and Confusion’ Oasis concert in December, has been receiving calls from music fans wishing to attend a concert on 19th July 2006 – but bosses have confirmed no such concert exists!

Fans are warned not to buy tickets from any sources until events are officially confirmed by the Millennium Stadium and to visit the official website at www.millenniumstadium.com to be sure of information.

“In response to a small number of enquiries to its offices, the Millennium Stadium can confirm there is NO CONCERT DATE currently in its calendar for 19th July 2006,” said Paul Sergeant, Millennium Stadium Chief Executive.

“Stadium representatives are in constant talks with a number of different promoters about a number of different dates in next summer’s music calendar, but fans are STRONGLY advised NOT to purchase tickets for any proposed events at Millennium Stadium until they have officially been verified by the venue itself.

“There will be more major announcements about concert dates at the Millennium Stadium in the future, but fans are asked to be sure of their information before they buy tickets.

“The Millennium Stadium can be contacted via the ticket hotline number at 08705 582 582 and all official information is posted online, the Stadium’s official ticket agents are Ticketmaster and fans should never buy tickets from unknown sources as, even if events exist, fans have no way of knowing if tickets are authentic.”
