Fiji defeated Samoa in their final World Cup 2007 qualifying group match in Suva, but failed to makethe 35-point margin needed to finish top and will  therefore play in Pool B with Wales and Australia, while Samoa go into Pool A  with England and South Africa.


The 21-15 win by Fiji included 11 points from the boot of the former Cross Keys threequarter Seremaia Bai, who landed three penalties and converted one of a brace of tries scored by centre Maleli Kunavore, while fly half Roger Warren kicked all the Samoan points.



The regions last possible qualifier, Tonga, must now enter a repechage in the fourth round of Oceania qualifying, while Wales will await the other two countries in their group which will be decided from Americas2 and Asia1.
