Brynteg Comprehensive, which has produced six British Lions including JPR Williams and Rob Howley, completed a clean sweep of four New Zealand schools when they beat Upper Hutt College 8-5 on Wednesday.

The other schools were Cambridge High School, Opotiki High School and Otorohanga High School while their Second XV also went through unbeaten.

Against Upper Hutt in Wellington, Bryntegs First XV took their chances in a tight game, with hooker Scott Baldwin scoring a try and fly-half Nick Roberts landing a penalty goal. The Welsh schools Second XV recorded a comfortable 28-7 win.

The students now travel to Fiji for four days to cap off their 11-day trip before returning home.
