BLUES U18 STILL FLYING HIGH

Club graphic

In a highly competitive game, the Dragons scored tries through Jason Tovey and Ceri Young with David Langdon adding a conversion. However, the Blues, who led 11-7 at half time, helped themselves to three tries from James Egan, Sam Warburton and Hugh Dowden, with James Thomas adding the extras with the boot.

The only negative for the visitors was the red card shown to lock Mazin Alazawi for stamping. Despite their numerical disadvantage, the Blues held on for a crucial victory.

In the other game, the Ospreys were 6-0 winners against the Scarlets at Llandovery thanks to a penalty from wing Lee Halfpenny and a drop goal from replacement outside half Tom Cole.

Daniel Evans missed three penalties for the Scarlets but had an outstanding game as did centre John Davies and Ospreys scrum half Rhys Webb, who marshalled his pack particularly well.
