After this month’s spectacular occasion, Invesco Perpetual will then be the title sponsors of the Autumn series matches at the Millennium Stadium in 2008 and 2009, to be known as the “Invesco Perpetual Series 2008” and “Invesco Perpetual Series 2009”.
“Invesco Perpetual have proved themselves to be loyal supporters of our national game since 2005 and this new investment is a welcome boost for us at a time when we are entering into a new and exciting era for Welsh rugby,” said WRU Group Chief Executive Roger Lewis.
“By the time we reach the Invesco Perpetual Series 2009, Invesco Perpetual will have provided four years of significant investment into Welsh rugby. They continue to make a highly significant contribution to safeguarding the future of our game and encouraging successes at every level.”
Rick White, Invesco Perpetual Marketing Director, says he is looking forward to seeing Wales take on the best teams the world has to offer in 2008 and 2009 under the tenure of new coach Warren Gatland.
“We are delighted to extend our support for Welsh Rugby through our renewed sponsorship of the Invesco Perpetual Series,” he said.
“Everyone is excited about the prospect of watching Wales take on South Africa in their first fixture as World Champions later this month and then seeing how the team develops across the next few years in what promises to be an exciting time for the Welsh Rugby Union under the leadership of Warren Gatland.”
