More than 61,000 tickets have already been sold for the game which means only 14,000 fans still have the chance to be there for the big occasion.

The Welsh Rugby Union has now placed tickets on sale to the public to ensure fans can get their hands on a prized Six Nations ticket.

They are for sale at via Ticketmaster online – Click Here for tickets – or via the hotline on 08705 582 582 and the WRU has also made tickets available to personal callers at the Ticketline UK office at 47 Westgate Street in Cardiff.

The Westgate Street Ticketline shop is open during office hours every day but will be closed on New Year’s Day.

This year Wales take on Scotland, Italy and France at the Millennium Stadium and tickets for all three matches are now for sale. There has been a big demand for all three games but some tickets do remain available for each match on a first come first served basis.

A WRU spokesman said: “There is huge interest in the RBS Six Nations this year and it seems everyone wants to get to the stadium to wish Warren and his team all the best.

“There are still a few weeks before the tournament kicks off but fans will have to be quick off the mark if they want to make sure they get a ticket.

“There has been a strong demand since the tickets went on sale to the public just before Christmas and we know people are beginning to realise they can’t leave it too late before getting their tickets.”

The Wales encounter with Scotland takes place one week after the Welsh team play their Six Nations opener against England in Twickenham.
