Gatland named a record-breaking 13 Ospreys in his starting line-up for Saturday’s crunch opener, and Ospreys Coach Jones is over-joyed at breaking the record of ten players set by Cardiff back in 1948.
Jones said: “It’s an unprecedented achievement for Welsh rugby and I’m delighted and humbled that the Ospreys have received such recognition. It’s a tremendous pat-on-the-back for the region and we take enormous pride in Warren’s selection.”
The exceptions to the Liberty Stadium domination are Llanelli Scarlets wing Mark Jones and Cardiff Blues flanker Martyn Williams for the trip to England’s HQ.
