The Scarlets centre was a bright point on a disappointing night in Gloucester as Wales U20 slumped to a 28-15 defeat, but Davies believes the Three Feathers can recover and go on to win the competition.
Davies said: “We can still win the championship but we need other teams to do us a favour and beat England. They were a big, powerful outfit upfront and had great pace out wide.
“England are a well-drilled and well-organised side but it was nice to play in the international environment again. The rivalry between England and Wales on the pitch is there at every level, whether it’s Under 16s, Under 20s or the senior team.
“I enjoyed the game and made a few decent carries in the first half. We showed great endeavour in the second half and that will bode well for the rest of the competition.”
