A sensational end saw Tonmawr take the spoils after Bargoed fought back from a 19-0 deficit to lead 20-19 with just two minutes left on the clock.

Tonmawr scored after 25 minutes with a catch and drive from a line-out and hooker Adrian Phillips came up with the ball. Next, the rampaging pack created an overlap and full back Gareth Morris scored and after 37 minutes Ben Davies crossed for Dave Tiueti to convert both tries.

A comfortable interval lead was halted as Bargoed hit back. Scrum half Mike Roberts put up a clever chip kick and wing Lee Pearson caught it on the full to score under the posts and Danny Jones converted. All Tonmawr nightmares came true as a penalty straight after the interval from Jones was followed by centre Darren Humphries straightening and offloading to Jeremy Lovell for the fullback to spin out of a tackle and score with Jones converted for 19-17.

With 17 minutes left. Tonmawr were caught offside and Jones put Bargoed into the lead, but then disaster struck for Bargoed as prop Jason Kedward was yellow carded and with two minutes left, Tiueti had the easiest of kicks to give Tonmawr the lead.

Bargoed threw everything they had at the West Walians but a Tonmawr counter attack saw Bargoed run out of defenders and enabled Tiueti to finish off an excellent move and convert his own try and send Tonmawr through to meet Aberavon Green Stars in the final at Llanharan on Saturday (2.30pm).
