The partizan home crowd were treated to a match played at frantic pace that could have easily resulted in a home win.
And none of the 74,000 plus crowd would have complained. South Africa were clinical as they outscored Wales two tries to nil, but it was the home side that dominated the majority of the match.
Debutant Leigh Halfpenny scored his first international points of his career with a first half penalty and replacement fly half James Hook slotted four second half penalties to complete Wales’ scoring.
Fellow debutant, Andy Powell was the Invesco Perpetual man of the match, for hisimpressive ball carrying and tackling display from the back of the pack.
