Division One West Round-Up

Carmarthen Quins continued their domination of Division One West with a 42-7 win over Cwmllynfell. It was the Quins 18th straight league win of the season and their tenth try bonus point. 

Tonmawr remain their closest challengers after their 34-10 win away at bottom-side Dunvant. Whitland resisted a late comeback from Llangennech to win 23-19 and Dwayne Eager got two tries as Bonymaen beat Carmarthen Athletic 23-8. 

In the remaining games, Narberth beat Corus 26-7, and Felinfoel claimed a 12-0 victory over Maesteg.

Division One East Round-Up

Blackwood strengthened their hold at the summit of Division One East with a hard-fought 13-8 win over Ystrad Rhondda. 

Second-place Newbridge lost further ground on the leaders after a shock 23-7 defeat away at Llanharan. Merthyr were the big scorers of the day, running in six tries on course to a 42-8 demolition of bottom-side Newport Saracens. 

Tries from Andrew Carson and Michael Kelly handed Rumney a 24-15 win at home to Beddau and Bargoed beat strugglers Penalta 6-0 in the game at Bargoed Park.
