Y GOGs (Geriatrics o Gymru) are based at Clwb Rygbi Caernarfon Rugby Club and are the only Golden Oldies team from Wales to have represented Wales Internationally.
Chairman, Emrys Jones, said “We are very pleased that this prestigious event will be coming to Caernarfon and this is the first time that Wales has welcomed the festival. We expect to welcome over 1,000 visitors to Caernarfon in June.
Mr. Jones added, “As part of the celebration of sport and cultural exchange, the Rugby Club at Caernarfon will also be hosting a seven-a-side tournament on the Saturday of the Festival.
“With just six months to go, 35 teams from the following nations have already registered for the festival: Wales, England, Scotland, Ireland, Lithuania, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Russia, Israel, Italy, Rwmania, Portugal and Argentina.
