Both teams were involved in high scoring affairs in the semi-finals with more than a hundred points being scored. The match, which was originally scheduled to be played at Pontyclun, will now be played at Waunarlwydd.

The home side, currently top of Division 1 West, and Seven Sisters, last years’ Division 1 West winners currently occupy the lower reaches of the Premier Division.

Waunarlwydd lost to Dolgellau in the first round of the National Cup 28–10, then in a close encounter with Whitland prevailed 24-25 to reach the final.

Seven Sisters were defeated by Neath Athletic in the first round 0-48 but bouced back to beat Kidwelly convincingly in the Plate semi-final 57-0.

*The National Cup final between Neath Athletic and UWIC will take place at a later date due to a clash with Welsh Colleges involving several Neath players.
