The Ravens were handed a tough run of opening fixtures, facing defeats against Carmarthen Quins, Pontypridd and Llandovery so far this season.

They now make the trip to Parc y Scarlets to face Llanelli, a tough task against last season’s runners up.

However, the Ravens have won one of the last five encounters against the west Wales side, securing a 25-23 win at the start of last season. Tries came from Marc Thomas and two from Ross Jones, including a late interception, won the game. The rest of Bridgend’s points that day came from the boot of youngster Ben Thomas.

Bridgend head coach Ben Rose makes a number of changes to his side for this encounter. Most notably, Ospreys lock Lloyd Peers returns after a spell out injured. Luke Morgan also comes in among the replacements after representing Wales Sevens.

There are changes too for Llanelli. Josh Lewis and Jak Evans start at half back with Steffan Evans switching from full back to outside centre to allow Dafydd Lewis to wear the 15 jersey for the first time.

Ben Leung gets a start at tight head and Ystalyfera boy Owain Morgan also makes his first start in the Principality Premiership.

The team is once again led by Adam Powell.
