The only Welsh region to make it through to the last eight, the Scarlets will come up against some familiar faces in the Ealing ranks. Included in their squad, currently sitting in fourth place in the English Championship, are four former Scarlets and they are coached by the former Ebbw Vale coach, Alex Codling.

Second row twins Carwyn and Llewellyn Jones were both in the Academy at Parc y Scarlets before crossing the Severn Bridge. Carwyn played for the Wales Under 20 side that reached the Junior World Championship final and also turned out for Carmarthen Quins.

No 8 Kieran Murphy made 41 appearances in the Scarlets back row between 2011-13 before heading  to Brive, while hooker Rhys Lawrence won Wales Under 20 honours from the west Wales region.

Other Welshmen on the Ealing books are former Wales and Dragons wing Will Harries, ex-Wales 7s caps Alex Walker and Aled Jenkins, Wales Under 20 centre Josh Davies and the former England Under 20, Dragons, Bridgend and Ospreys back row man Arthur Ellis.

Ealing have lost only twice at home in 10 games to date this season and beat the Dragons Premiership Select XV twice in their B&I Cup pool campaign. They were 56-19 winners in the home tie and also beat the Dragons in a pre-season friendly at Ystrad Mynach in August.

London Welsh won the title last year and Cross Keys reached the final in 2012.Llanelli were quarter-finalists in 2011, 2012 and 2013, but were beaten away from home by Pontypridd, Cross Keys and Bedford Blues.
