As well as the three Welshmen in the starting XV, Warren Gatland has once again included all six tour replacements on the bench, which means Kristian Dacey, Tom Francis, Cory Hill and Gareth Davies will all be hoping to make their Lions debuts at the Westpac Stadium.

Ireland’s Rory Best will once again captain the Lions and will be at the heart of the sae pack that saw off the Chiefs in Hamilton last week. Biggar is once again partnered by Scotland skipper Grieg Laidlaw at half back.

“We are obviously hugely disappointed with the result last night but it is important to regroup. We know there are a lot of players motivated to go out and get a result for the whole group,” said Gatland.

“A few players put their hands up for selection from the Chiefs game and played their way into the Test team so they know that there is another opportunity for them on Tuesday against the Super Rugby champions.”
