He is joined in the backline, most notably by former Wales international Chris Czekaj and arguably the best outside half in the Premiership, Jack Maynard from Llandovery.

Much like Crawshay’s head coach Mike Rayer, Czekaj, 32, began playing rugby for his home town club Llandaff and then went on make over 130 appearances for the Cardiff Blues. He has been capped internationally in every Wales age group, from U16s to U21s until gaining his first senior cap, as well as a try, against Canada in June 2005.

Despite suffering a broken leg during the second Test match against Australia in 2007, Czeka spent the next year recovering and rehabilitating before going on to collect a total of nine international honours. He now plays at Bedford Blues under Rayer.

In the forwards the Crawshays have selected an excellent back row led by former Scarlets and Ospreys No 8 Morgan Allen.  The 27-year-old Morgan is the son of former Crawshay player Andy Allen, and played 53 times for the Ospreys before moving to the Scarlets and appearing on 27 occasions.

Just like his dad, when he is on his game he is an unstoppable ball carrier. Allen is joined in the back row by another handful, Carmarthen Quins’ Ed Siggery.

Siggery played professionally for London Irish, London Welsh and Ealing before moving back to Wales and winning the Premiership with Merthyr last season. The final member of the Crawshay’s back row is Scott Matthews who was renowned as the best openside in the Premiership with Cross Keys for a number of seasons before he moved to Pontypool this season.
