Having beaten them 34-24 at home on the opening day of the campaign, Coleg Gwent maintained their 100% success rate against their fellow Dragons regional team with a stunning eight-try, 55-19 victory.

Al eight tries were scored by their back division, with wings Walker Price and Huw Anderson, both scoring twice. Centre Cam Davies also added a brace and centre Harri Ackerman and replacement scrum half Sam Alford added the others.

Outside half Sam Berry kicked 15 points as he guided his side into a 36-0 interval lead. The home team came into their own in the second half, scoring three tries of their own through No 8 Charley Harkin, hooker Aneurin Jenkins and replacement scrum half Evan Appleby.

Cardiff & Vale College also maintained their impressive 100% record this season as they swept aside Whitchurch HS, scoring six tries in a 45-0 win to complete the double. Harrison James was once again the star act as he scored two tries, converted two and kicked two penalties for a match haul of 20 points.

Other tries for the home side came from Lucas de La Rau, Issac La-Roche, Ethan Rudyj and Scott Delnevo. Skipper Finn Charles added a conversion and penalty in a game that saw Whitchurch suffer two yellow cards.

Tries from skipper Thomas Davies and Jack Davies enabled Llandovery College to reverse their earlier defeat to Coleg Sir Gar and turn over the former champions 22-12 in a terrific result at Llandovery’s Church Bank ground to throw their Group back into the melting pot.

A tight affair was otherwise dominated by the respective boots of Sir Gar centre Harrison Griffiths and Llandovery College outside half Rhys Harris. Griffiths edged his side ahead 6-5 at the break with penalties either side Griffiths’ first-half try, which came from a rock solid scrum in the shadow of the Sir Gar posts, and then made it 9-8 after responding to a Harris penalty.

Two more kicks went over to make it 11-9 to Sir Gar before the outstanding Davies at full back weaved his way through from the 22 to score a try that Harris converted on the hour mark. That put Llandovery in firm control at 18-12 and six minutes later Harris made the game safe with another penalty that put his side two scores ahead.

Bridgend College put up a much stronger fight against Gower College than in their first meeting. Beaten 54-7 away from home, they went down 17-7 on their own patch to salvage some much needed pride.

Jordan Warrington, Ben Quint and Will Thomas scored the tries for the visitors, while Eli Cowan responded with a try for Bridgend.

Coleg Y Cymoedd completed the double over Ysgol Glantaf in another tight tussle as they scored five tries to three in a 34-22 win. It was the perfect response to their defeat to Cardiff & Vale College and keeps them on course for a place in the semi-finals of the Cup competition.

Rhys Price, Sam Harris, Chad Powell, Jac Argile and Kenzie Jenkins scored the tries for Cymoedd, while Jacob Symes converted three and kicked a penalty. Tom Weekley scored two tries for Glantaf and Iestyn Thomas got the other.

There were also two conversions for Harri Wilde and a penalty for Morgan Bowen for the visitors.
