WRU all set to deliver webinars on duty of care in coaching

WRU disability and inclusion manager Darren Carew will feature in one of the webinars

The WRU – working in partnership with UK Coaching – are delivering four webinars in line with the theme of duty of care in coaching.

This year’s theme, ‘Duty to Care: The Foundation of Great Coaching’, reflects the importance of coaches providing the appropriate support and care and delivering the best environment for participants to feel safe and supported and to thrive.

By embracing their Duty to Care, coaches can help ensure that the people they coach enjoy a great experience that encourages lifelong participation.

The schedule for the webinars are below and all sessions are from 6pm to 7:30pm

Monday 5th of June, An Introduction to LooseHeadz with Rob Shotton, and Mental Health & Awareness for Coaches with Lloyd Ashley

Tuesday 6th June, Best coaching practice, with WRU Jeremy Rogers National integrity manager and Gerry Roberts WRU National coach development manager

Wednesday 7th June, Role of the inclusive coach with Darren Carew disability and inclusion manager and Lyndon Roberts Head of inclusion, engagement and people team.

Thursday 8th June, Safeguarding in coaching with WRU Integrity training officer Lindsey Chaplin
