Ystrad Rhondda went back to the top of Admiral Championship East with a 26-5 bonus-point triumph over Rumney at Gelligaled Park.
Jordan Williams was at the double with Jarrad Llewellyn and Mason Roderick also on the scoresheet while Rhys Truelove kicked three conversions. Owain Govier got the Rumney try. The win made it six out of seven for Ystrad Rhondda who move five points clear of Bargoed – who had their game at Bedwas postponed due to the weather.

Newbridge are up to third after they defeated Glamorgan Wanderers 45-20 for their fourth win in five. There were hat-tricks for both Ewan Bowden and Ieuan Jones along with a penalty try. Robbie Turley kicked four conversions.

Skipper Josh Male and Finn Davies scored for the visitors, both converted by Paul Short who also kicked two penalties.

Cross Keys had Ben Elliot, Callum Hague, Nathan Huish, Tom Sullivan, Adam Tetley, Connah Vaughan and Josh Wall among their scorers in a seven-try, 44-10 defeat of St Peter’s at Pandy Park.
Tetley also kicked three conversions and a penalty.

Treorchy verses Penallta and Beddau’s clash with Cardiff Met were postponed.
In Championship West, a last play penalty from Sam Potter secured a dramatic 28-27 home victory for Ammanford over Crymych. Elis Lewis, Liam Smith and Sion Williams were the Ammanford try scorers with Potter kicking the rest of their points.
It was a battling second half performance from Crymych who had found themselves 18-6 behind at the break. Lee Griffiths and Trystan Griffiths were their try scorers. Ifan Davies kicked five penalties and a conversion.

Trebanos were victorious 17-6 at Tata Steel courtesy of Iestyn Lewis’ try and four penalties from Rhys Harris, while Llangennech are up to second following their 25-8 win at Newcastle Emlyn.
Harrison Button’s brace and a Jordan Saunders try saw them home. Steff Marshall kicked two conversions and two penalties.

Dunvant against Ystalyfera was postponed, while the top of the table clash between Brecon and Narberth had already been postponed due to Brecon’s rescheduled WRU Championship Cup round two clash at Bonymaen. However for the second week running the weather forced the tie to be postponed.

The winners of the tie between Bonymaen and Brecon will go to Bedwas in the quarter-finals. The other ties see last season’s runners-up Ystrad Rhondda hosting Cardiff Met, Narberth face Dunvant and Bargoed going up against Llangennech.
